Verity Spa
A couple of weeks ago I had the pleasure of being given a private tour of Verity, a unique women’s club and oasis in downtown Toronto. This 52,000 ft² space contains everything a busy executive woman could want - an influential group of members, business facilities with wireless Internet and rooms to host meetings in, a library, a top-notch restaurant - George, a fitness center, a members lounge, swimming pool and Spa.
What I’d like to focus on for this piece is the Verity Spa. Set in the basement of the club, this feminine, brightly coloured boutique-esq spa is cheerful and very inviting. Treatment rooms surround the swimming pool, where guests are encouraged to relax by. There are 3 facial rooms, 3 massage rooms, 5 manicure stations and 5 pedicure thrones.
The Spa is not only for club members but also open to the public. The hours of operation are Monday - Friday 8:15 am-7:15 pm, Saturday 9 am-6 pm and Sunday 10-3 pm. Why not have a massage at lunchtime or manicure before dinner?
Verity’s “signature” facials are definitely value for money and range from $135 to $155. You can expect to receive a 60 minute face, shoulder, scalp, hand and lower leg massage - fantastic. And if the massage portion of the treatment was not bonus enough, you also will take home a complimentary full retail-size product, that your esthetician feels would be beneficial to your skin type. Now that is what I can excellent customer service.
I thought that Verity was a wonderful place to retreat from the hustle and bustle of a working life. I understand that they will be making it even better and will begin renovations in January. Have no fear Verity will not be closing their doors as the renovation will happen in phases and the treatment rooms are to the back of the facility where there will be no renovating. I promise to let you know what the improvements are once it is completed.
