Rejuvenation: A Restorative Workshop with Indigo Stray

This is a perfect workshop for introducing first timers and for more experienced folk to enjoy the quieter side of the practice. Restorative yoga is a receptive practice in which the body is passive throughout the experience, weightlessly supported by props as the muscles extend and relax into subtle postures. This 2.5 hour workshop will allow you to enjoy a full restorative session, complete with sound and aromatherapy to deepen your experience. Also, you will learn the fundamentals of restorative yoga: how to create a home environment, use props and breath-work, and how to find a sequence that’s right for you.
Indigo Stray studied and taught yoga for six years in NYC before relocating to San Francisco. She is certified in Hatha Vinyasa through Dana Flynn and Jasmine Tarkeshi of Laughing Lotus as well as in OM-style Vinyasa with Cyndi Lee and Margi Young. Indigo also works in the quieter side of the practice through restorative yoga, having received advanced certification in Relax and Renew from Judith Hanson Lasater. She loves all facets of the practice, including chant, meditation, and blending the teachings of yoga into life. Her classes are vigorous and inventive, inviting practitioners to dance at their edge and rest as they need. Currently, Indigo is pursuing a degree in Somatic Psychology and is hoping to take body-mind awareness to another level through these studies.
